Dr. Erik Soiferman
Erik Soiferman, DO, MBA, FACOI, FACP is the founder, owner, and operator of Liberty Urgent Care of PA.
Starting with a vacant lot, Erik oversaw the design, construction, equipping, and staffing of the facility. In addition to seeing patients, he manages day-to-day operations, supervises staffing, financial management and marketing, and develops and implements growth strategies. His goal is to provide each patient with a “WOW” experience that makes them feel his passion to deliver quality, affordable, and convenient healthcare.
Erik is Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine. He holds a certificate of Added Qualifications in Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine, is a Certified Medical Director (American Medical Directors Association); a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists and the American College of Physicians.
An Associate Professor of Medicine at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Erik received his undergraduate degree at Muhlenberg College, his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and an MBA from Temple University.
Erik is passionate about history, specifically the United States Revolution and Constitution, and served on the Board of the Historical Society of Pennsylvania. He enjoys playing guitar and spending time with his wife and 4 children.
Dr. James L. Tweedy
James L. Tweedy, DO, FACOPF
Dr. James Tweedy joined Liberty Urgent Care in 2018 after a career in family medicine in South Philadelphia. Dr. Tweedy served in the United States Navy and then as a firefighter/paramedic for the City of Philadelphia before attending medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). He received his undergraduate degree from Temple University and completed his medical training at Riverside Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware as well as serving as Chief Resident at St. Agnes Medical Center in Philadelphia. Dr. Tweedy is Board Certified in Family Medicine and also as a MedicalReview Officer. He is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Family Practitioners and an Associate Professor of Medicine at PCOM. Dr. Tweedy is also a proud father and grandfather and active in his Masonic Lodge.
Matthew Montagna, RT
Matthew Montagna is the Director of Occupational Medicine as well as a radiology technologist at Liberty Urgent Care. After graduating from Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Albert Einstein School Of Radiology in 2009, he set his sights on working in an Urgent Care setting, a the new wave of medicine in his community. Matthew found that working in the Urgent Care setting gave him opportunity to expand his knowledge in the medical field, while still allowing him to excel as a Radiology Technologist. He is a social butterfly, and truly loves working at Liberty Urgent Care.
In his free time, Matthew loves to get out to the gym and play some basketball. He played competitively in high school, as well as college. He also loves to watch football, and is a DIE HARD EAGLES FAN! Matthew has a wonderful 3 year old daughter, and an amazing wife! Together, they have a pack of 3 dogs who are a huge part of the family! They love big dogs, which is why they have an English Mastiff, German Shepherd, and American Bully. Matthew loves to talk, so if you see him, get ready for a great conversation!
Kim West, LMA
Kim West is a Medical Assistant on the Liberty team. She studied at both Kaplan in Philadelphia and Montgomery County Community College. Kim previously worked at Green and Seidner Family Practice. She is married with two teenage boys and enjoy sports and family time.
